Overview The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students with online ACT Reading tutors nationwide. As a tutor on the platform, you’ll have flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and the opportunity to impact students’ learning—all from home. Responsibilities Tutor online ACT Reading sessions for individual students or groups as assigned. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Conduct sessions remotely using our purpose-built Live Learning Platform. Personalize lessons to match each student’s learning style and goals. What We Look For In a Tutor Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in ACT Reading and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education. Compensation and Benefits Base contract rates start at $18/hour and may increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Set your own hours; tutor as much as you’d like. Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform; no commuting. AI-powered Tutor Copilot provides real-time instructional support and lesson generation. We handle logistics; you invoice the sessions and we process payments.
