Air Import Supervisor – JFK Airport Area

Join a high-performing international logistics team where you’ll play a critical role in driving operational excellence, supporting key clients, and leading a talented import staff. This role is perfect for a logistics professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is ready to take ownership of department performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee daily air import operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Lead and support a team of 2–10 import staff, providing coaching, development, and performance oversight
• Implement departmental policies, SOPs, and process improvements to drive efficiency
• Prepare quotations, review documentation, and maintain clear communication with customers and vendors
• Ensure smooth customs clearance, timely delivery, and exceptional customer service

What We’re Looking For:

• 2–5 years of import operations experience (air import strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of freight documentation, Incoterms, and shipment flow
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work with limited standardization and navigate real-time challenges
