Alternative Capital Markets (ACM)

Alternative Capital Markets is a global team with 60 alternative investment professionals across eight offices (New York, Albany, Dallas, London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shenzhen), responsible for over $120B in AUS, serving institutions, foundations, family offices, high net worth and ultrahigh net worth individuals. ACM is the architect of the Wealth Alternatives platform including private equity, growth / venture capital, private credit, private real estate, hedge funds, coinvestments and impact private investing. These offerings include AM Private, XIG, and thirdparty external investment strategies, as well as differentiated private company access via both internal and external referrals. ACMs fullservice capital markets business covers the entire lifecycle of an alternative investment, from investment sourcing to client solutions, as well as a new discretionary offering enabling programmatic platform access, an inhouse liquidity platform for clients (qualified matching service, or QMS), and dedicated platform management and strategy.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Help establish and manage GS ACM relationships with external managers, with a particular focus on West Coast Growth and Venture, including new product development and coordination of external sales professionals, as well as source and originate new alternative investment offerings to meet client demand and address current market opportunities
• Serve as an alternative investment strategist, helping establish GS Wealth house view on current private market trends / opportunities and providing insight to clients and internal GS constituents, and serve as a key resource for San Francisco advisors and clients
• Work with external third party managers to source coinvestment deal flow for GS PWM with particular focus on SFbased family office syndication
• Help provide input on ACM sales strategy across client segments, advising on growth strategies for new offerings / solutions, and develop regionspecific fundraising strategies
• Serve as key point of contact for SFbased family office clients, particularly as it relates to ACM direct company investment offerings
• Lead client portfolio reviews, including alternative portfolio analysis / implementation guidance, as well as provide performance attribution and fund commentary

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WERE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelors Degree or Higher
• Deep understanding of financial markets and investment instruments
• 4 years experience in venture capital, growth equity, wealth management, asset management, investment banking, or private equity
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problemsolving skills
• Team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Sophisticated and tactful client manager who can effectively manage the entire investor lifecycle
• Strong ability to multitask, with an ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines
• Selfstarter, with ability to work both independently and in a teamoriented environment and across group functions
• Solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail
• SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 (must be obtained within 3 months)

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this San Francisco, California, United Statesbased position is $85000$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal yearend.
