Job Description

Our client, an insurance company located in Boston, is seeking a Copywriter to join their team for 6-12 months. This hybrid role will require 4 days onsite, allow for 1 day remote, and have hours from 9am-5pm. It is compensating $25-$30 an hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities: Review and refine customer-facing communications such as policy notices, billing notices, and claims updates. Ensure all messages meet criteria for clarity, tone, accuracy, consistency, and timing. Provide editorial feedback and suggest rewrites when needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, claims, underwriting, and marketing. Help maintain a centralized messaging guide and flag outdated or redundant content. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in copywriting, content strategy, or editorial work, preferably in a regulated industry. Strong knowledge of plain language principles and ability to simplify complex topics. Familiarity with personal auto and home insurance terminology and documents. Excellent editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail. Experience working independently and managing multiple projects.
