High School Guidance Secretary

QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma minimum.

1. Must possess computer skills.
2. Must possess general clerical skills (filing, record

keeping, etc.)

1. Must be neat in appearance, pleasant and courteous.

REPORTS: Principal

JOB GOAL: To assist the guidance counselor in working with students to take full advantage of the educational opportunities offered by the school and to establish reasonable occupational and life plans.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prints student schedules / teacher class rolls, grade cards and honor roll.
2. Locates students who don't show up for school.
3. Requests transcripts and records of new students.
4. Sends transcripts and record of transferring students.
5. Enters new student's demographics and grade in SKYWARD
6. Enters student's course selections in SKYWARD system.
7. Enters grades into SKYWARD.
8. Processes transcript requests.
9. Processes driver license certification letters.
10. Processes & affix labels for permanent records.
11. Records graduation date, rank and GPA on senior records.
12. Performs other secretarial functions, such as typing and filing as directed by the principal.
13. Maintains the confidentiality of reports, records and personal experience of a private nature regarding students.
14. Checks accountability data through State EIS System.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with

provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services personnel. Greene County Schools
