Your Day as a Home Manager:

As the Home Manager, your mornings begin with checking in on staff, offering encouragement, and chatting with consumers about their exciting plans. You might help someone organize their favorite activity or review routines to ensure everyone feels supported. Strong communication skills ensure clear and respectful interactions with clients, families, medical providers, the ISP Team and other partners.

Your organizational and time-management skills will help you prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and oversee daily operations seamlessly. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities will equip you to handle unexpected situations calmly, while team leadership and coaching experience empower you to train and motivate staff to deliver high-quality support. Adaptability and flexibility are key in our dynamic environment where needs can change rapidly.

Attention to detail is crucial for documentation and compliance with care plans and state regulations. With a valid driver's license, you'll facilitate community activities and appointments, all while fostering positive interpersonal relationships with everyone in our care.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Development Disabilities in 24-Hour comprehensive care
  • Residential Group Home Management strongly preferred
  • Compassionate leadership: Ability to lead with empathy build trust and support a person-centered environment.
  • Strong communication skills: Clear respectful and effective communication with individuals supported, families, and staff.
  • Organizational and time-management skills: Able to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, coordinate care, and oversee daily operations.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making: Capable of responding calmly and effectively to unexpected situations and making thoughtful and informed decisions.
  • Team leadership and coaching: Experience supervising, training, and motivating staff to deliver high-quality support.
  • Adaptability and flexibility: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where needs and priorities may change quickly.
  • Documentation and compliance: Attention to detail with record-keeping, care plans, incident reports, and state regulatory requirements.
  • Crisis intervention: Ability to remain composed and supportive during challenging behaviors or emergency situations.
  • Interpersonal and relationship-building skills: Skilled at creating positive, respectful relationships with individuals, families, and team members.
  • Basic computer proficiency: Comfortable using software for scheduling, documentation, and communication.
  • Valid driver's license: Required for transporting individuals and attending appointments or community activities.
