Contract Motion Designer (3-Month Engagement)


We're seeking a contract Motion Designer for a 3-month engagement focused on creating branded product experiences using tools like Lottie and Rive . This role will involve both brand and UX motion work, with a particular focus on system-driven animations in collaboration with a design systems team. Clear communication and documentation skills are key, as you'll work closely with engineers to ensure smooth implementation.


You'll collaborate with brand designers, product teams, and engineers to deliver impactful in-product motion and scalable UI animations across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. This role requires end-to-end motion expertise-from concept and prototyping to detailed documentation and delivery.


Key Responsibilities

• Create and apply motion design across brand and product experiences.
  
  
• Collaborate with illustrators and design leads to develop 2D/3D animated brand assets.
  
  
• Work closely with engineers to implement animations across digital platforms while considering technical constraints.
  
  
• Contribute to scalable systems by building reusable motion tokens and guidelines.
  
  
• Provide clear documentation to support engineering implementation.
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in motion design, including at least 2+ years in a product environment.
  
  
• Strong visual and motion design skills, with the technical ability to deliver production-ready assets.
  
  
• Expertise in interaction motion across desktop, mobile, and web.
  
  
• Experience designing for scalability within design systems or motion libraries.
  
  
• Familiarity with tools such as After Effects, Lottie, Rive, and prototyping platforms.
  
  
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  
  
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage work across multiple projects with shifting timelines.
