Location: Memphis, TN 38141 (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $61.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) | Saturdays (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM) as needed
Position Overview Join McKesson's highly automated central fill pharmacy team. In this role, you will collaborate with other pharmacists, technicians, and operations personnel to ensure production goals are met. You will be responsible for managing workflow, overseeing automation, and ensuring that all medication orders are dispensed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities - Pharmacy Operations: Review and dispense medication orders, replenish hoppers, and provide oversight of automated systems.
- Supervision: Oversee the daily tasks of pharmacy technicians, clerks, and support personnel.
- Quality & Compliance: Perform quality checks, document medication errors, and ensure strict adherence to all State and Federal laws and company policies.
- Inventory Management: Monitor the storage and distribution of drugs and oversee the "return to stock" process.
- Support & Communication: Provide professional product information to the operations team and offer guidance in filling complex orders.
- Facility Management: Complete end-of-day assignments and follow building closing protocols.
Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree (PharmD) in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted Registered Pharmacist license in the state of Tennessee . (Eligibility for licensure in other states is preferred).
- Experience: Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred, particularly in high-volume environments.
- Availability: Must be able to work evening shifts (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) and Saturdays as required.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with personnel and internal teams.
Physical Requirements - Ability to sit and stand intermittently for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend, reach, type, and push/pull carts.
