The Family Health Centers seeks applicants for phlebotomist to work in any one of our three locations: Asheville, Arden and Candler.

• The phlebotomist collects blood (through vein or finger) and sterile urine specimens. Responsibilities include performing waived laboratory test and daily quality checks.

PHLEBOTOMIST DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Phlebotomist certificate.
• Three to six months of clinical laboratory work/training experience in a fast-paced medical practice.
• Previous experience working with electronic medical records. (AllScripts Preferred)
• Equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge,

PHLEBOTOMIST SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
• High level of professionalism, excellent communications skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Ability to prioritize work
• Knowledge of CLIA/OSHA regulations and guidelines

Work hours Monday - Friday, days.
