The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Physical Security Specialist (GG-0080-14) to work at the HQ Air Force Materiel Command on Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. This position can close at any time. The HQ Air Force Materiel Command, Intelligence Directorate, seeks a highly qualified individual to oversee its Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Physical Security mission. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in SCIF accreditation processes, including the management of initial and re-accreditation actions for both Permanent and Temporary SCIFs. A deep understanding of physical security requirements, such as co-use/joint-use agreements (CUA/JUA), Access Control Systems (ACS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), is essential. The incumbent must have the ability to analyze and approve Concept Validation Requests (CVR), Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC), and Construction Security Plans (CSP) while employing a risk-based approach to protect critical intelligence. Strong communication skills are required for effective collaboration with senior leadership and for delivering high-level briefings. This role demands experience in identifying deficiencies in technical specifications and security protocols during inspections as well as providing oversight to 11 geographically dispersed Security Specialists. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in navigating complex security regulations, provide clear interpretation and guidance, and possess the necessary skill set to excel in all staffing functions of a Major Command (MAJCOM) staff officer. Additionally, the ability to travel for inspections and contribute to developing strategic security polices is crucial for success in this position.
