PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST I

What is the Opportunity?
Responsible for operating within the First Line of Defense and for the security of City National Bank, maintaining applicable physical security systems controls. The team serves as the 24/7 emergency contract, escalating and documenting events and issues that may affect or compromise the Bank and its operations. Responsible for monitoring, investigating, analyzing, and administering the physical security systems (alarm automation system, access control, video surveillance, etc.), and coordinating services and maintenance of the Bank's physical security systems. Also analyzes, reports, and documents physical security activities and issues that may impact or compromise security. Maintains a proactive and visible presence at the assigned facility, addressing security concerns and supporting the safety of Bank colleagues and visitors. Executes high-visibility patrols, responds to incidents, partners with the Security Operations Center (SOC), provides colleague escorts, and supports Executive Protection and event security coverage. May work unsupervised and will support daily security operations and provide directions to contract security professionals.
What Will You Do?
Support the physical security Subject Matter Expert (SME) and the 24/7 emergency contact for the Bank.
Support physical security systems, emergency issues, and security issues for the Bank.
Provide quality customer service to CNB lines of business by answering and responding to high-volume calls and emails regarding physical security systems, alarm monitoring and access control-related issues, inquiries, processing of requests, and security events.
Assist with monitoring, investigating, analyzing, and administering the physical security systems (alarm automation system, access control, video surveillance, etc.), coordinating services and maintenance of the Bank’s physical security systems.
Respond to alarms, alerts, system issues, and incident/emergency situations for the Bank and determine proper escalation and/or action. Provide support to business lines and security vendors on handling issues, troubleshooting and incidents.
Coordinate and conduct preventative maintenance and testing of the Bank’s physical security systems (alarm automation system and video surveillance) by partnering with security vendors and colleagues. Document preventative maintenance and testing in proper forms and reports, and identify risks and issues.
Assist with reviewing and processing a high volume of physical access requests in ServiceNow (physical access provisioning, deprovisioning, ID badge printing, Leave of Absence access requests, incident tickets, etc.).
Assist with managing and administering physical access to Bank facilities, including maintaining supplies (cards, badge printer ink, lanyards, badgeholders, etc.) and distributing ID badges.
Maintain required documentation (alarm disposition, Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, incident tickets, service work orders, etc.).
Maintain situational awareness by monitoring and reporting internal events, external events, or emergency incidents that could impact Bank operations by monitoring news and open sources.
Comply with Corporate Security and Bank policies, standards and procedures.
Provide operational support for new projects by conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), key distribution, physical security coverage, modifications and programming of physical security systems, and supporting NPPI transports.
Follow Incident Response Escalations Procedures in the event of a security incident.
Support Disaster Recovery (DR) Testing for Corporate Security to ensure systems are operational and monitored, including reporting of issues.
In compliance with GLBA, manage colleague and non-colleague termination of physical access and report physical access review reports and attestations for identified high-risk areas.
As assigned, review, process, and submit security services invoices.
As assigned, draft and review physical security procedures and job aids.
Conduct regular high-visibility patrols of CNB property and parking facilities.
Provide immediate in-person incident response to emergencies and events.
Provide security escorts and event coverage as directed.
Support Executive Protection team for executive leadership events.
What Do You Need to Succeed?
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Minimum 1 year of physical security industry and/or financial services industry required
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience with managing physical security systems (alarm automation, access control, video surveillance, etc.) highly preferred
Security Guard license from the State of California required
Valid California Driver’s License required
Additional Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact with, convey information, and provide clear guidance to all levels of staff, law enforcement and vendors
Experience handling a high volume of calls
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of physical security systems (alarm systems, access control, video surveillance), practices and processes
Ability to analyze alarms, alerts and events at a detailed and higher level
Self-motivated and able to work with little to no supervision
Demonstrated leadership in oversight of contract security professionals
Ability to follow procedures to accomplish assigned tasks
Strong decision-making, analysis of alarms/alerts/events, escalation and documentation
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
Flexibility to work all shifts (24/7) if required; willingness to overtime as needed

Starting base salary: $16.66 - $25.02 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
