Responsibilities:POSITION SUMMARY:
The Purchase Order Administrator is responsible for the management and organization of vendor purchase orders. Incumbent will maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organizational policies and vendor agreements under the direction of the Purchase Order Specialist.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the Purchasing team through accurate and timely PO Processing and monitoring
• Process Purchase Orders and Change Orders in Viewpoint
• Maintain Vendor Database in Viewpoint and enter new vendors
• Follow up with Vendors that are Out of Compliance
• Process vendor credit applications
• Process tax-exempt forms as needed for jobs
• Perform special assignments, projects and reporting as needed
• Complies with Accounting Schedule & Deadlines
• Ensure all PO/AP requirements and standards are in compliance
• Assist with 1099 processing
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by PO Specialist
QUALIFICATIONS:
• The ideal candidate will have administrative Purchase Order experience for a construction firm.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Detail oriented and ability to demonstrate high degree of accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and willingness to perform in a team environment.
• Experience with sales tax a plus
Reports to: Purchase Order Manager
Location: Farmingdale, NY
Hourly Rate of Pay: $24.00 to $28.00 commensurate with experience
