As a Security Officer – Hospital Entry Escort in Monroeville, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare facility.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related occurrences.
  • Work closely with healthcare staff to support a secure environment for patients, visitors, and personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have received all required vaccines as mandated by the hospital.
  • Must be able to work in or around hospital morgue areas.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals as required by hospital protocols.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
