Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Wine Director and GM to educate guests on various wine styles, regions, and pairings, with a focus on enhancing their overall experience. Provide personalized wine recommendations based on guests' preferences and menu selections, aiming to create a seamless and delightful dining experience. Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to create harmonious food and wine pairings, enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests. Assist with wine inventory and storage, ensuring optimal conditions for each bottle and seamless service delivery. Engage with guests to enhance their overall experience and cultivate a loyal customer base, with a focus on anticipating and exceeding their needs. Work closely with the rest of the service team to ensure that wine service is seamlessly integrated into the overall dining experience. Qualifications Certified Sommelier or equivalent wine education and training. Proven experience in a high-end restaurant or wine bar setting with a strong emphasis on service. Extensive knowledge of global wine regions, varietals, and production techniques, combined with a keen understanding of how this knowledge can be used to enhance guest satisfaction. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for educating others about wine in a service-focused context. Exceptional tasting ability and a discerning palate, with a keen eye for detail when it comes to wine service. Organized with excellent attention to detail for inventory management, particularly in a service context.
