Job Details:

Job Title: Medical Technologist 
Location: Gaithersburg, MD
Duration: 13 weeks 
Shift: Night 12a-8:30a, (Tuesday Night- Saturday Night)

Weekly hours: 40

Job Summary:
Responsible for performing routine and non-routine laboratory testing with accuracy and efficiency. Ensures timely analysis, review, and reporting of test results while following established SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and analyze laboratory tests per approved procedures
• Review, document, and release test results accurately
• Maintain quality control, calibration, and maintenance records
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety guidelines
• Identify and report issues affecting test performance
• Report STAT and critical results as per protocol
• Maintain documentation, reagents, and lab cleanliness
• Participate in training, inspections, and departmental meetings

Qualifications:

• BS in Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry (or CLIA-qualified)
• 1+ year of clinical lab experience in high-complexity testing preferred
• Strong multitasking, documentation, and communication skills
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and quality standards
