Location: Alturas, CA
Facility: Modoc Medical Center
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekly Pay: $3,246/week

 

Position Overview

 

Modoc Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time 13-week travel assignment. This role is outpatient-focused with no weekends, no double-booking , and a manageable patient load (8–9 patients/day). The PT will evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan, support departmental performance, and ensure high-quality rehabilitative care in accordance with facility standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform PT evaluations (60 minutes) and follow-up treatments (45 minutes)
• Maintain an independent caseload with 8–9 patients per day
• Implement treatment plans using appropriate techniques and modalities
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation per facility standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and rehab staff to coordinate care
• Uphold safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance
• Maintain department equipment and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Provide patient/family education and reassess as needed
• Maintain professionalism and strong communication across all departments
• Support department operations, budgeting awareness, and charge accuracy
• Participate in training, staff collaboration, and internal performance reviews

Requirements Experience & Skills

• 1–3 years PT experience preferred (newer PTs considered)
• Knowledge of PT modalities, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Certifications & Licensing

• Active California PT License (required at submission)
• BLS/BCLS (American Heart Association)
• Clean background, drug screen, TB/PPD, and onboarding compliance
