Job Description Bells Animal Clinic is seeking an outgoing, responsible individual that loves dogs and cats to join our technician staff.
Job Description:
• Prep and assist in diagnostic, medical, and surgical procedures.
• Preform laboratory test and radiographs.
• Operate and maintain hospital equipment - IV pumps, EKG, scales, laboratory machines, anesthetic monitors and machines.
• Assist veterinarian in anesthetizing animals and monitoring during surgeries.
• Properly restrain/handle dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
• Fill prescriptions and administer medications.
• Pull blood - cephalic and jugular.
• Place IV and urinary catheters.
• Interact with clients and animals while collecting medical information.
• Maintain cleanliness in exam rooms and cages after each patient.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary surgery area and equipment.
• Communicate and approach job duties in a mature manner.
Job Requirements:
• Able to handle all sizes of animals and temperaments in a calm and professional manner.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependability, patience, and communicate effectively.
• Expected to work some weekends and holidays - no exceptions.
• Degree or certification not required but preferred.
• Work experience preferred but not required - will train.
• Must be 18 years or older.
