Weekly Pay Rate: $19 - $22/HR The School Aide/CNA is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, personal care and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department and/or supervising designee. Essential duties and responsibilities include following through with IEP objectives, facilitating teacher directed learning activities, supporting students in general education classes, communicating pertinent information to teachers, accompanying students during recess and lunch periods, adhering to confidentiality requirements, assisting with activities of prescribed programs, aiding students in the development of independent skills, providing personal care assistance, supporting teacher with clerical duties, and meeting all federal, state and local requirements.
Minimum Requirements: Current Certified Nursing Assistant required by state/contract/or client, compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice, participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable, current CPR if applicable, TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable, current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation), must meet all federal, state and local requirements, successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site, understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements, ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals, computer proficiency required, must be at least 18 years of age.
