Overview Affordable Language Services is hiring Hindi interpreters for in-person appointments as independent contractors. You will provide interpreting services to those in need and serve your community in various settings. Base pay range $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr Responsibilities Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor in medical, educational, social, legal, and other settings. Assist community members by breaking down language barriers and enabling access to services. Requirements Must be fluently bilingual in English and Hindi. If you do not have proof of professional interpreter training, you will be required to pass a language test in English and Hindi. Must have US I-9 work authorization. Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be willing to provide a background check and drug test. Must be willing to provide MMR, Varicella, Covid, and Flu vaccination records if interested in medical interpreting. Must be willing to primarily attend in-person appointments.
